Mrs. Grissom promotes GM

Former Shoney's division exec joined salads and spreads company

Mrs. Grissom's Salads has promoted General Manager Keith McIntosh to vice president. McIntosh will retain his GM title and continue to oversee all of the internal operations at the salad and spread manufacturer, which is headquartered on Bransford Avenue near Craighead Street.

McIntosh joined Mrs. Grissom's in 2010 after a stint as plant manager at Taylor Farms. Before that, he spent almost 20 years at Chairman's Choice Foods, a division of the former COI Foodservice, which was spun out of Shoney's before filing for bankruptcy in 2008.

“Keith was hired by Jack McGee, who retired after over 45 years with the company,” said company founder Grace Grissom. “He had some mighty big shoes to fill but he’s demonstrated that he was the right man for the job. I’m very excited about the direction of the company with Keith as VP and General Manger.”
