Health care software venture recruits ex-HCCA exec

Business intelligence provider brings Fritz back from Arizona hospitals

Health care business intelligence provider Agilum has hired industry veteran Winnie Fritz to lead its performance improvement consulting unit.

Fritz comes to Cool Springs-based Agilum from Arizona, where she was for the last three years CEO of Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital and Carondelet Holy Cross Hospital. Before that, she held various positions — including CFO, senior vice president of operations director of international operations — at nurse recruiting firm HCCA International.

In her role at Agilum, Fritz is giving clients 40 hours of consulting time to help the firm’s software improve patient care, efficiency and financial performance.

“Having worked with Winnie at HCCA, I place high value on her breadth of healthcare expertise, work ethic and determination to improve the quality of patient care and overall hospital efficiency,” said Kevin McNamara, the former HealthSpring executive was early this year was named chairman at Agilum.

Six-year-old Agilum, which works on the Oracle platform, this spring changed its name from Anthem Healthcare Intelligence.
