Wyatt Tarrant & Combs absorbs Memphis firm
Wyatt Tarrant and Combs announced today that it will merge with Williams McDaniel, a 45-year-old Memphis-based law firm that represents clients across the state, including several Nashville business leaders.
The addition of Williams McDaniel gives Wyatt one of the largest estate planning law groups among regional firms in the country.
“Wyatt has been looking to grow our estate planning practice and this merger is an excellent fit for both firms,” said David Lewis, partner-in-charge of Wyatt’s Nashville office. “The addition of these highly talented lawyers contributes to Wyatt’s growing national reputation in estate planning, charitable giving, foundations, special needs counseling, elder law and sophisticated tax planning.”
The merger adds 10 attorneys to Wyatt's roster and brings to 27 the firm's number of estate planning attorneys. Six of Wyatt’s estate planning attorneys are among only 22 attorneys in Tennessee who are certified as estate planning specialists.
Wyatt is a full-service regional law firm with over 200 lawyers and offices in Nashville and Memphis, Louisville and Lexington, Ky.; New Albany, Ind.; and Jackson, Miss.
