Power plant company CEO named BGA board chair

Lunn succeeds eight-year leader Jewell

Eddie Lunn Jr., president and CEO of Boiler Supply Co., has been named chairman of the Battle Ground Academy Board of Trustees. He is taking over that spot from John Jewell III, a 1962 BGA graduate who had been chair since 2004.

Lunn, a 1967 BGA graduate and board member since 2009, was tapped to lead the family-owned Boiler Supply in 2007. He also owns Craighead Capital Corp. and has served on a number of industry, civic and educational boards.

“BGA instilled in me the values that still guide me today and I am honored to be able to serve in this position,” Lunn said. “I want to thank Johnny Jewell for his service to BGA. He has been an incredible advocate for BGA and the school is a better place due to his leadership.”

In addition to Lunn’s appointment, BGA officials also said Mark Puryear III and Don Denbo have joined the 123-year-old school’s board. Puryear is a 1985 graduate and founding partner of the Franklin law firm Puryear Newman & Morton. Denbo, class of 1967, is president and principal of Brentwood-based Commercial Insurance Associates.
