LifePoint names regional nursing chief

Founding employee to oversee Tennessee, Virginia, N.C. sites

LifePoint Hospitals has named a founding employee and former interim CEO of its facility in Pulaski to lead the nursing efforts at its hospitals in three states.

Roxana Pool’s promotion to chief nursing officer of the Delta Division comes a few weeks after the naming of Susan Peach as CEO of its local HighPoint Health System. Pool will oversee LifePoint’s seven hospitals in Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia, including those under the umbrella of the growing Duke LifePoint joint venture. On her agenda are quality improvement, constituency satisfaction and enhancing program development and regulatory compliance.

“Roxana brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a healthcare leader and CNO,” said Jeff Seraphine, president of LifePoint’s Delta Division. “She has a proven track record of developing strong operational and nursing leadership teams. She will be a tremendous asset to the hospitals served by the Delta Division.”

Pool was previously the interim CEO of Hillside Hospital in Pulaski as well as, among other roles, COO and CNO at LifePoint’s Southern Tennessee Medical Center. She holds a master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Kentucky.
