EHR vendor beefs up sales force
Electronic health record developer iPractice Group said it has added four direct sales representatives to its staff, taking a step toward its goal of covering 28 states by October.
Officials at iPractice say their new hires cover Florida, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, southern Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
“We made a commitment this year to scale our PrimeSUITE sales team in order to service the needs of doctors and practices locally,” said Ting Chang, CEO and co-founder of iPractice. “We are pleased to find these high-caliber account executives with track records for building customer relationships.”
iPractice, which is based in Century City, targets small physician groups with less than seven doctors. The company in May told the Securities and Exchange Commission it had raised $2.3 million from more than 100 investors and said its revenue was still below $1 million. Word of the funding came about a year after Colorado regulators censured iPractice group execs over their securities sales tactics.
