Nashville attorney Vivek Chandra, corporate operations counsel at Community Health Systems, has announced that he has joined the law office of Callahan Witherington.

Chandra had been with Franklin-based CHS for a little more than two years. While there, he advised hospitals on day-to-day operational legal issues, including contract negotiations, real estate acquisitions, employment and compliance and hospital and physician practice acquisitions. He will focus on health care services in his new position in private practice.

Chandra is a former associate with Adams and Reese and obtained his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and a master’s degree in health administration from the school as well in in 2007. His undergraduate degree is from Vanderbilt University.

Currently he is also a board member of the Southeastern Young Alumni Charitable Foundation. SEYA is a group of Nashville based young professionals raising money for pediatric cancer research.
