Metropolitan Bank adds two to local team

Newcomers to serve as commercial managing director, client services advisor

Metropolitan Bank has hired for its Nashville-area operations Rob Boyd as a commercial managing director and Jenni Weber as client services advisor.

Boyd brings nine years of banking experience in the Nashville market, most recently as a vice president at First Citizens Bank, which is based in North Carolina.
Boyd will initially work out of Metropolitan’s Brentwood location and then move to the recently announced West End office once it opens in late 2012.

Boyd received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia Southern University.

Weber brings 17 years of banking experience to Metropolitan and will work from the company’s Brentwood office. She arrives from SunTrust Bank, where she served as an officer and financial services representative.

Weber graduated from Lipscomb University and is a course graduate of the Southeastern School of Banking at Vanderbilt University.

“Our team is coming together seamlessly, and the addition of Rob and Jenni makes us even stronger,” Bill Menkel, Metropolitan’s Nashville president, said in a release. “Their performance records and experience bring a lot to the table, and both are an ideal fit for our talent-driven strategy and our culture that puts so much emphasis on the client.”

Metropolitan Bank is the banking subsidiary of Metropolitan BancGroup, Inc., a $690 million bank co-headquartered in Memphis and Ridgeland, Miss. After a 2008 acquisition of Bancsouth Financial Corp. and its subsidiary, Bank of the South,  Metropolitan now operates seven full-service banking offices in Mississippi and Tennessee.
