DSi adds VP of operations

Newcomer brings national background in e-discovery work

Document Solutions, Inc., has hired Mark Walker as vice president of operations, company officials announced today.

Walker (pictured) is nationally known within the electronic discovery sector. In addition to authoring books on e-discovery and litigation support, Walker has put his expertise to use in litigation involving Halliburton, Hospital Corporation of America, Intel, Dow Chemical, Miller Beer, SAP, AMD, Exxon, Texas Instruments and Xerox, among others.

“Over the past several years, DSi has grown from a regional to a national firm, and adding a nationally known authority like Mark to our team is a key milestone on this path,” DSi President Tom Turner said in a release. “Mark’s arrival begins a new era for DSi, during which we intend to build on our reputation among Fortune 500 companies to become the first litigation support firm that the world’s largest businesses and law firms turn to for assistance.”

Walker comes to DSi from Forensics Consulting Solutions (FCS), an Arizona-based e-discovery firm at which he served since 2007 as senior director of consulting and client services, overseeing all e-discovery and forensic services provided by the firm, as well as consulting with law firms and corporations to develop technology solutions to litigation challenges. Prior to his work with FCS, he served as national director of solutions engineering for e-discovery company RLS Legal Services in Texas.

Previously, Walker served as court coordinator for a Texas district judge for five years, during which he established a system to help lawyers resolve discovery disputes without court intervention. Walker also has extensive trial experience, including more than 13 years working on high-profile trials at Susman Godfrey, LLP.

An Army veteran, Walker began his legal and technical career in the military. He studied psychology and business administration at the University of Houston and court administration at the Texas School for the Judiciary.

Nashville-based DSi is a litigation support services company that provides both traditional and technology-driven services.
