Healthways names new GC, accounting chief
Healthways last week promoted two executives to general counsel and chief accounting officer, positions that had been left open by some of the executive shuffling that has taken place at the wellness services provider in the last 18 months.
The new general counsel at Franklin-based Healthways is Mary Flipse, who had been operations counsel since August of last year. She joined Healthways after a short stint at legal outsourcer Axiom and more than five years as assistant general counsel at King Pharmaceuticals. That company also had been home to former Healthways GC James Elrod, who left the company in February after a year on the job.
Also getting a promotion last week was Glenn Hargreaves, who is now chief accounting officer. Hargreaves had been controller of the company and fills a position that had been vacant since Alfred Lumsdaine was promoted to CFO at the end of 2010.
Shares of Healthways (Ticker: HWAY) are down slightly to $8.85 in Monday afternoon trading. Year to date, they've risen almost 30 percent.
