Nashville-based social prediction marketing company Consensus Point has secured Series B financing from an investor group led by a TNInvestco fund.
The total scope of the financing was not disclosed. NEST-TN LLC led the Series B round with a $500,000 investment in the spring of last year and has since been joined by Golden Seeds out of New York as well as DLA Piper Venture Funds and the Tennessee Technology Development Corp.'s INCITE Co-Investment Fund.
"This funding enables Consensus Point to build on our successes with enterprise clients, such as GE and Motorola, in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of resources deployed in innovation," Consensus Point CEO Linda Rebrovick (pictured) said in a release.
Started in 2004 and based in New York City, Golden Seeds focuses on companies led by women entrepreneurs. Its angel network is the fourth-largest in the U.S. and was the third most active in terms of deals done in 2011. Golden Seeds has two funds with $30 million under management. The firm manages investor groups in Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
NEST-TN is run by Fran Marcum of Marcum Capital out of Tullahoma. The fund's other investments to date include Nashville-area health care plays NuScriptRx ($750,000), Parental Health ($250,000) and Primocare ($44,500).
