California wealth counselors bring on ex-AXA exec
A California firm that manages and advises high-net-worth clients on their investments has lured a successful local sales and recruiting executive.
Brian Church has joined United Capital Financial Advisers as director of East Coast recruiting. Church has in the past worked at AXA Advisors, where he was at one point ranked first in recruiting and profitability and led sales and recruiting in Tennessee, as well as Capital L Group out of Charlotte.
The hiring of Church is part of a broader recruiting push at United Capital, which directly manages about $6 billion and advises clients on another $9 billion or so. Two other senior recruiting officials also have come on board and will be based in California and Colorado. The firm runs almost 40 offices around the country, including on Woodmont Avenue near Belle Meade.
“We wanted to find individuals with proven track records and a passion for what we do in our unique approach to servicing our clients,” said Matt Brinker, senior vice president of partner development and acquisitions, of his new hires. “Having already demonstrated the ability to identify with the adviser market and excel in recruitment, their experience aligns with our long-term vision for growth.”
