Digital Reasoning names sales chief

Software veteran has been on company's advisory board

Data analytics venture Digital Reasoning said this week it has named Mike Miller executive vice president of sales.

Miller is a software industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, including a wireless network company Xirrus, Juniper Networks and Computer Associates. A resident of Vienna, Va., he has been a member of Digital Reasoning’s advisory board. In his new role, Miller will lead the company's client acquisition and retention in the government and commercial markets.

“For nearly a decade, Mike has been a trusted advisor and director of Digital Reasoning, and we are extremely pleased that he can help us continue the acceleration of our business in an executive capacity,” said Rob Metcalf, Digital Reasoning’s president and COO. “There are very few individuals who can match Mike’s experience in technology sales for public and private markets, and we’re thrilled to have him join our team.”

“I am delighted to accept the additional responsibilities of growing and developing a global sales team here at Digital Reasoning. I have long believed in the company's mission to help organizations and agencies better understand their data and exploit it for strategic business and mission value,” said Miller.

Separately, Digital Reasoning execs said they have signed an agreement to have their government IT vendor Carahsoft market its main product to various agencies.
