Butler Snow picks up two more

Ex-Ceridian GC, another from Miller & Martin come on board

Butler Snow O’Mara Stevens & Cannada, the firm that made a big local splash last month by winning the bidding for a big group of Miller & Martin attorneys, has added another attorney formerly with that firm as well as the ex-general counsel of HR services company Ceridian.

The addition of Junaid Odubeko and Michael Sheridan bring to 41 Butler Snow’s Nashville’s presence. Sheridan has joined the firm’s banking, real estate and financial services Group, Odubeko its commercial litigation practice.

Sheridan will focus on business planning and operations, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, business structure and capitalization and data privacy and information protection. He had been general counsel of Ceridian, the parent of Brentwood-based Comdata, since early 2008 and held the same post at Comdata for a dozen years before that.

Odubeko will focus on commercial litigation and governmental law. Before joining Miller & Martin early last year, he was legal counsel to former Gov. Phil Bredesen and a litigator at Memphis firm Burch Porter & Johnson.

“We are excited to continue expanding our Nashville office with these two talented attorneys,” said Donald Clark Jr., chairman of Butler Snow. “Michael has deep roots in Nashville, and brings a wealth of legal and business expertise to the firm, and Junaid has excellent government relations experience from his tenure with former Gov. Phil Bredesen and will strengthen our existing team.”
