Griffin Technology today opened its first retail outlet, according to an article in SlashGear. And, not wanting this to be some ho-hum affair with a run-of-the-mill retail space in some soulless strip mall, the Griffin folks decided to go slightly bigger.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Nashville-based company has set up shop in what will soon be one of the most visible retail locations in the entire world. When it comes to visibility, it’s hard to argue with sticking your new store across the street from London Olympic Stadium, which is exactly what Griffin has done.
In the SlashGear article, Griffin President Mark Rowan is quoted as saying, “The opening of our very first store celebrates a huge milestone for Griffin Technology. We have been leading the way in developing innovative and groundbreaking accessories for the past 20 years. This store will allow us to share our vision and our products with consumers firsthand. And, with the spotlight very much focused on London and the 2012 Olympics, there’s no better place to unveil our very first store than at Westfield, Stratford City, directly across from Olympic Stadium.”
The 1,500-square-foot store will feature products from both Griffin and other brands such as fellow Nashville favorite Jack White’s Third Man Records.
