Bridgestone Americas announces promotions

Executive shuffling yields some new leadership at various posts

Bridgestone Americas announced a handful of promotions and shifts late Monday.

Moving into the role of chief information officer will be Tim Walsh, who has been with Bridgestone since 1993 and previously served as the company's corporate controller. In his new position, Walsh will be responsible for overall leadership with regard to Bridgestone Americas' IT functions. Supporting him will be Alan Lindsey, who has been named vice president of information technology.

Taking over Walsh’s old position will be Bill Thompson, who has been with the company since 1996. Most recently, Thompson served as the West Zone manager with the company.
