Health care and finance IT security outfit Proaccura announced today that it has tapped Michael Renwick to serve as its business development executive.

Renwick comes to the company from MAR Health Services Consulting Group where he served as a principal. Earlier in his career, he served as the director healthcare sales, healthcare marketing for AT&T Business Solutions.

"More than ever before, protecting health care and financial data is one of the most important pieces of a solid business plan for these industries," said Proacurra CEO, Jon Ayers. "Michael brings a wealth of experience in the health care field that will enable us to broaden our products and services to this industry."

The company was spun out from Group Data Services. The company is part of the Ayers stable of companies. CEO Jon Ayers also is a principal with Ayers Capital and an executive vice president with downtown-based Ayers Asset Management.
