Haven Behavioral Healthcare announced Wednesday it has tapped John Fick to be its new senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Fick, most recently, worked with local hospital operator Essent Healthcare until that company was bought by RegionalCare Hospital Partners last year. With Essent, he served as the senior vice president corporate controller and treasurer.

“We are excited about the addition of a seasoned executive such as John to our team,” said Vern Westrich, CEO of Haven. “His knowledge of accounting standards and ability to strategically plan financial outcomes will be invaluable to the future of our company.”

In his new role, Fick will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial initiatives and helping guide future financial decisions. Haven runs five hospitals and an outpatient facility in Colorado, Arizona and Pennsylvania.
