GS&P names owner, four senior associates

Stephen Brown has worked within firm’s land planning and design division

The Nashville office of Gresham, Smith and Partners announced today Stephen Brown has been named an owner, while four other company employees have been named senior associates.

Brown is a senior civil engineer in the firm’s land planning and design division. Some of his recent projects include a passenger car-tire plant expansion and new off-road tire plant for Bridgestone, both in Aiken, S.C., as well as electric vehicle charging stations for Nissan in Franklin and Smyrna. Brown (pictured here) joined GS&P in 2000 and is a graduate of Tennessee Tech University.

The four senior associates are Joseph Cotter, Kelly Knight Hodges, John Houghton and Mike Orr.

Cotter is the firm’s director of information technology. He joined GS&P in 2006 and is a graduate of the University of Texas.

Hodges is an interior designer in the firm’s Nashville Design Studio. She joined GS&P in 2000 and is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Houghton is a senior planner in the firm’s transportation division. He joined GS&P in 2007 and is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, the University of Chicago and the University of Virginia.

Orr is an environmental engineer in the firm’s water resources division. He joined GS&P in 2004 and is a graduate of Columbia State Community College and the University of Tennessee.
