Stewart Parking Solutions names new GM

Burbank gets gig after company lands LP Field contract

A week after picking up the parking contract at LP Field, Stewart Parking Solutions has named a new general manager.

Brasher Burbank will direct large-scale event parking planning and procedures for the company’s contract clients, including the two recently awarded major deals with the Metropolitan Sports Authority and the Tennessee Titans.

SPS will manage parking Lot E operations on a daily basis as well as many large-scale events including the Fourth of July, New Year’s Eve, the Country Music Marathon, Titans home games, Tennessee State University football, the Music City Bowl, concerts and other special events.

"Brasher possesses a wealth of industry experience that positions our company for strategic growth managing large-scale projects in Middle Tennessee," said Eddie Stewart, president of Stewart Parking Solutions. "By institutionalizing a high level of customer service for parking services, Brasher is setting a new standard for the industry."

Burbank joined Stewart in June 2011, after an eight-year career at Central Parking System, at which he oversaw more than 120 owned, managed or leased parking properties in the Nashville area. Burbank was responsible for 23 facility managers and hundreds of employees.

Interestingly, SPS landed the LP Field contract from Central, whose deal with the sports authority went into jeopardy after a Metro audit revealed the company was late in remitting at least $300,000 in payment.

In 2008, Burbank was recognized by Central Parking as one of the leading operations managers in the company. He played a key role in managing technology conversions for Central Parking, which enhanced the ease of use for parkers while simultaneously increasing the company’s profitability.
