PPL Corp. announced today that Nissan employee Mark F. Wilten is joining the company as its vice president-finance and treasurer.

A 22-year financial veteran with international experience, Wilten currently is treasurer for Nissan North America and Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. He will join PPL June 4, reporting to Paul A. Farr, PPL's executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Wilten will replace James E. Abel, who has retired.

"[Wilten] will provide important leadership as we execute financing plans to significantly grow PPL's regulated asset base over the next several years," Farr said.

Wilten has been with Nissan since 2008 and has served as its treasurer since August 2010. Prior to joining Nissan, he served as group treasurer for Kensington Group PLC, a mortgage company based in London.
