First Farmers recruits LifePoint exec to Williamson board
First Farmers & Merchants Bank has added John Bumpus, the chief administrative officer at LifePoint Hospitals, to its Williamson County advisory board.
Bumpus joined Brentwood-based LifePoint in 2005 and was named to his current position in 2009. There, he has helped shape the company’s strategy, human resources and marketing efforts.
A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Bumpus also has held senior HR positions at the former Province Healthcare and in the Nashville division of grocery giant Kroger.
“Given his solid understanding of the Williamson County market and strong background in human resources, communications and administration, John will be an excellent addition to our County Advisory Board,” said Craig Holland, Williamson County president for First Farmers. “He’s seen this business marketplace from the vantage point of both small to large companies and has a clear understanding of the critical role employees play in a company’s success.”
The appointment of Bumpus comes about a month after First Farmers’ parent company added to its board Tractor Supply HR chief Kim Vella and fellow Williamson County advisory board member.
