Nashville Film Festival names executive director

Ted Crockett had served entity in interim capacity

Ted Crockett has been named executive director of the Nashville Film Festival.

The announcement comes in time for the NaFF's annual event, which runs April 19-26 at the Regal Green Hills Theaters.

Crockett, who had served as interim director during the past six months, became a permanent employee of the NaFF in 2007. He worked under contract with NaFF during the 2004, 2005 and 2006 festivals as box office manager.

Crockett came to Nashville in 1998 after graduating with a degree in broadcast journalism from Brigham Young University. Previously, he worked at business management firm Flood, Bumstead, McCready & McCarthy handling the finances of various entertainers.

The NaFF's previous full-time executive director was Sallie Mayne.
