GS&P announces staff additions

Gresham, Smith and Partners has announce the following staff additions and accreditations:

Scott Fitzhugh has joined the firm as a CADD technician in the land planning and design division. He brings five years of experience in civil CADD design and earned an associate degree in applied science from ITT Technical Institute as well as a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee.

Martha Fox joins as an interior designer in the Nashville Design Studio. She brings six years of experience with architecture firms in Raleigh, N.C. Fox earned a bachelor of science degree in interior design from the University of Tennessee.

Brian Hubbard joins as an architectural designer in the Nashville Design Studio. He brings more than four years of experience in international architectural design of residential/office towers, retail facilities and universities as well as experience with master plans and urban design. Hubbard earned a bachelor of science degree in architecture and a master of architecture degree from Ball State University.
    
Amy Mauk joins GS&P as a web developer in the Corporate Services division. She brings more than eight years of experience in web design. Mauk earned a bachelor’s of business administration degree from Belmont University and has also completed studies in graphic design and web application development.

Jubal Parris joins as an engineer intern in the land planning and design division. He brings more than seven years of experience in land surveying and recently passed the examination to become a licensed professional land surveyor in the state of Tennessee. Parris earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Tennessee Tech University.
    
Scarlett Sharpe joins as a senior planner in the transportation division. She brings 18 years of experience in transportation planning with specialization in National Environment Policy Act. Sharpe earned a bachelor of science degree in urban studies and a master of science degree in planning from the University of Tennessee.

 

Genesco names vice president of sales

Bret Moore has been named vice president of sales for Genesco’s Keuka Footwear. 

He will help drive customer acquisition and execution of integrated direct-to-consumer programs.

Most recently Moore was principal of Moore Consulting.  He was also vice president of marketing for Precious Moments based in Rolling Meadows, Ill., as well as vice president of marketing and E-Commerce for Genesco’s retail division.

Moore has a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Vanderbilt University and holds a master of business administration from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University with a concentration on finance and accounting. 

 

Bass, Berry & Sims adds two members

Bass, Berry & Sims PLC has announced that Stephen J. Jasper and Blaine H. Smith have been elected to membership in the firm.

Jasper focuses his practice on state and local tax litigation. He received his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law and graduated with a B.A. from the University of Missouri.

Smith’s practice includes estate planning, estate administration and probate litigation. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in accounting and received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. 

 

Pinnacle adds two

Lindsey Matic and John Nelson have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners’ downtown office at Pinnacle at Symphony Place.

Matic is a financial analyst with seven years of experience. She comes most recently from O’Charley’s Inc., where she served as senior accountant. Prior to O’Charley’s, Matic was a senior audit associate for KPMG LLP. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in professional accountancy and management from Lipscomb University.

Nelson, with 15 years of experience, is a vice president and credit analyst. He comes from Tennessee Commerce Bank, where he was an assistant vice president in internal loan review. Prior roles were with Fifth Third Bank, where he served as business development officer for its business banking group, and SunTrust Bank, where he was a credit manager.

Nelson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Memphis.

 

The Farm announces personnel moves

The Farm at Natchez has announced four personnel moves.

John David Tucker, The Farm’s new veterinary technician, earned a bachelor of science in agriculture with a focus on pre-vet and animal health technology from Murray State University. He then earned a master of science degree in agriculture with an emphasis on animal science.

Tucker previously worked at Flanary Veterinary Clinic in Kentucky.

Christina Woolbright has been named retail specialist, in charge of The Farm’s boutique.   Her background is in office management and customer service, and she previously worked for Verizon Wireless, Shop at Home, and Metro One.

Angela Lokensgard has been promoted to assistant manager. Her career has included retail management and positions in the restaurant business.  

Kelda Sturgis, The Farm’s media specialist, coordinates The Farm’s website. She graduated from Belmont University with an English major and a studio art minor.

 

F&M Bank adds mortgage sales manager

F&M Bank has hired Billy Winfree as its Nashville-area mortgage sales manager. Winfree has been a home loan professional over the past 11 years. Previously employed by Pinnacle Financial Partners, Winfree also has worked as a mortgage originator for First Tennessee and Bank of America. 

 

Pinnacle welcomes trio

Margaret Barnard, Shantara Franklin and Katie Nichols have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners.

Barnard brings eight years of experience to her role of service specialist for Pinnacle‘s Shelbyville office. She comes most recently from First Bank, where she was a senior teller.

Franklin, with more than six years of experience, joins Pinnacle as a client services specialist. She comes from Bank of America, where she served as a sales and service specialist for its Lebanon office and a teller operations specialist for its Madison office.

Nichols joins Pinnacle as a service specialist for Pinnacle’s 100 Oaks office. Prior roles include serving as a financial services consultant for Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union in Chattanooga and as a member services representative for Southeast Financial Federal Credit Union in Knoxville.

 

Powell Creative adds three

Powell Creative LLC has added a trio of staff members to its team.
    
Krista Ashton has been named account coordinator for the firm. Ashton was formerly marketing assistant/patient coordinator for Southern Surgical Arts in Chattanooga. She graduated from UT-Chattanooga.
     
Kristopher Martel joins as web developer and programmer. A graduate of Tennessee Tech University, Martel was previously employed by SumEffect Software in Franklin.

Rose Wilson will serve as office administrator and was previously in that same position with Powell Creative from 2003-05.

 

Country Music Hall of Fame announces promotions

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum recently announced the following promotions.

In the financial services and operations division, Danny Burnette has been promoted to assistant manager, operations; Lisa Knight, to senior accounts payable accountant; and Samantha Ramey, to senior project accountant.

In the development division, Rachel Shapiro has been promoted to development events manager and Rachel Weingartner has been promoted to membership manager.
       
In the sales and marketing division, Kayte Bittorie has been promoted to assistant director of admission services; Jon Davis, to retail buyer; Lindsay Johnson, to events and catering administration manager; Adrianne Murray, to senior graphic designer and production coordinator; Debbie Parsley, to senior event entertainment manager; Jessica Pfranger, to event sales manager; and Jenna Stange, to visitor services manager.

 

Life Care Center hires ED

Life Care Center of Old Hickory has chosen Matthew Cummings as executive director. Cummings most recently served as executive director of Life Care Center of Sparta, Tenn.

 

Fifth Third Bank adds two

Antonio Brooks and Kelly Knetchel have joined Fifth Third Bank as personal bankers. 

Brooks was previously employed at American Equity and HSBC Bank. He has six years of experience in the finance and mortgage lending industry. Brooks will be located at the Donelson Pike Financial Center. 

Knetchel comes to Fifth Third’s Metro Center Financial Center from Carter Haston Property Management, where she worked as a leasing professional. Prior to moving to Tennessee from Georgia, she worked in the financial services/banking industry for 10 years.    

 

Korbey joins Emma

Chris Korbey has joined Emma Inc. as creative director. Korbey will be responsible for overseeing the brand experience for Emma’s customers and business partners.

Before joining Emma, Korbey founded and worked as creative director for Meat+Bones. Korbey previously served as the design director for Sequel Studio in New York City, and he also gained art and design management experience at Addison, Weymouth Design and Bergeron Creative Group.

 

Byrd joins Genesco

Johnny Byrd has joined Genesco Inc. as director, international and income tax.  He will be responsible for international tax, federal income tax, and state income tax planning and compliance.

Byrd has more than 15 years of experience in various tax supervisory positions. He most recently held the position of director, tax at O’Charleys Inc.

Prior to O’Charleys, he worked for Spheris, Inc., Thompson Machinery Commerce Corp. and Shoney’s, Inc. He holds a bachelor of science degree and a master of accountancy degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

FirstBank hires operational risk manager

FirstBank has added Patrick Jones as operational risk manager. Jones will be responsible for designing and managing FirstBank’s operational risk management program across multiple lines of business.

Jones comes to FirstBank after nine years at Capital One Bank in Richmond, Va., where he served as the director of operational risk and controls assurance. Prior to his stint at Capital One, Jones lived in St. Louis, where he served as the vice president of security services at Techguard Security and as the enterprise information security manager at Solutia, Inc. From 1991 to 1997, he was the senior audit manager for SBC Communications, now AT&T.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA from Southern Illinois University.

 

Home2 Suites adds executive team

The Home2 Suites by Hilton Nashville has announced that Merrily Bell has been appointed general manager and Kim Lopez has been appointed director of sales.

Bell will be in charge of directing all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services and satisfaction, hotel administration, and overseeing marketing efforts. 

Prior to joining the Home2 Suites Nashville, Bell was assistant general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn- Vanderbilt. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and holds a bachelor’s degree in consumer industry service management.

Lopez will be in charge of building relationships and assessing the needs of local businesses, working with the general manager to facilitate marketing efforts, and overseeing sales efforts.

Prior to joining the Home2 Suites Nashville, Lopez was area sales manager for the Hampton Inn Nashville. She is a graduate of Florida International University and holds a degree in hospitality management.
