A California Web development company and digital marketing agency focused on the entertainment world has set up a Nashville office for the second time.

Oakland-based Sparkart says its new Sparkart South outpost on Music Row’s 16th Avenue South will be led by veteran booker and marketer Elyse McKenna. Sparkart opened its first local office in mid-2009 but lost its point man about 18 months later.

Sparkart already works locally with Keith Urban, Jason Aldean and Big Machine Label Group, among others. CEO Naveen Jain said, “It’s mission is critical for us to establish a powerful local presence” and that McKenna will be responsible for growing revenue and profits and building her staff.

“I believe in Sparkart’s business philosophy and have always enjoyed helping artists, brands, and companies compete and grow,” McKenna said. “It’s exciting to join a team that blends design, technology and community to accomplish great things in cost-effective and profitable ways.”

McKenna previously worked at Third Coast Artist Agency and LAB Media, among others, and more recently ran Welcome Mat Entertainment, which works with Young Buck, Compassion International and TD1.
