Sperry Van Ness expands in Nashville

Investec joins national firm

Investec Realty Services has joined the Sperry Van Ness family.

Investec — now Sperry Van Ness/Investec Realty Services — becomes the second local franchise of the national real estate brokerage, joining Genesis Real Estate Group, which came on board last year.

The new franchise's managing directors are Anthony Lopes, John Snyder and Jon Albright, who also lead the firm's Memphis location. Additionally, Stephen Graw has moved from Grubb & Ellis to act as senior advisor.

"Nashville is experiencing excellent commercial growth. In addition to increasing businesses, many young professionals are making it the city of choice when relocating to Tennessee," Lopes said. "We have had our eye on Nashville for more than five years and find that now is the time to take the plunge with an excellent partner in Sperry Van Ness."

Lopes has more than 28 years of industry experience and prior to starting Investec spent 17 years at Koger Properties and Koger Equity, where he was leasing manager for the largest office complex in Miami, and eventually became the general manager of Koger’s Memphis operation.

Snyder has more than 27 years of CRE experience. Before joining Investec, he was partner at Cresa Partners in Memphis, where he specialized in corporate real estate services, tenant representation and build-to-suit projects. Prior to that, he managed a two million-square-foot portfolio for Trammell Crow in Memphis.

Albright, with more than 23 years of real estate experience, has been a partner at Investec since 2007. Previously, he spent nine years with a national real estate developer in Memphis and owned his own real estate operation.
