Westhaven golf club gets new GM
Developer Southern Land has hired a veteran golf course manager and former ClubCorp USA executive to run its Westhaven Golf Club.
Ernie Micelli comes to Westhaven in Franklin from Somersett Golf & Country Club, which sits at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Reno, where he was general manager for four years. Before that, he ran a number of other courses and spent almost three decades at ClubCorp, which manages the Nashville City Club until late 2010. There, he was for 10 years the senior regional manager for the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast.
As Westhaven's GM, Micelli will oversee club operations, membership relations and course maintenance. Come summer, he also will have a 10,500-square-foot clubhouse to run.
“Mr. Micelli’s impressive experience falls in line with the larger vision we have for the golf club at Westhaven,” said Brian Sewell, president of Southern Land Company. “We are fortunate to have him in this position as we move into our next phase. We look forward to a period of continued growth and creating a great golf experience.”
