HCA's Parallon Business Services subsidiary is absorbing another division of the hospital giant. The business solutions wing of HCA will take under its wing I.T. Partner Solutions, a move that adds a range of health care IT services.

“It became clear to us that with the formation of Parallon Business Solutions last year, we had introduced a service organization that could provide significant value to other enterprises, as well as HCA,” said HCA CFO Milton Johnson in a statement. “Under Parallon President and CEO Michael O’Boyle’s leadership, the addition of I.T. Partner Solutions to Parallon’s array of service offerings will, I believe, make Parallon Business Solutions even more attractive to its growing list of clients and customers.”

HCA is the largest information technology employer in Middle Tennessee. A call to Parallon to determine just how big an operation it is absorbing was not returned by the time of publication.
