M*Modal adds another director
Health IT provider M*Modal has made another move to strengthen its board of directors by bringing in the former CFO of rail giant Norfolk Southern.
Henry Wolf's appointment to the board of Franklin-based M*Modal is effective immediately. Wolf is taking the place of Merle Gilmore, a former Motorola executive who has resigned from the board after almost four years. Wolf becomes the company's sixth independent director.
Wolf spent 34 years with Norfolk Southern and was its CFO from 1993 until his retirement in 2007 and vice chairman from 1998 to 2007. A former Captain of the U.S. Army's Judge Advocate General’s Corps, he also is a director of AGL Resources and Hertz Global Holdings.
“Henry is a strong addition to our board of directors,” said Vern Davenport, chairman and CEO of M*Modal. “He brings extensive financial experience and a track record of board service with leading publicly held companies. We look forward to his guidance and contributions to our continued growth. At the same time, I’d like to thank Merle Gilmore for his past service to our board of directors.”
Wolf is the fourth new director at M*Modal since last fall. The company also has added a retired Xerox executive and a retired BlueCross officer as well as a private-equity investor.
