Real estate notes: Colliers takes over One Nashville leasing

Colliers International announced it has taken over leasing of One Nashville Place on Fourth Avenue North.

The team of Bill Neill and Chris Grear will handle the 23-floor building, built as downtown's first Class A space by The Mathews Company and Edward J. DeBartolo in 1985. Neill had been the leasing rep for the building while he was at CB Richard Ellis. He moved last month to Colliers, along with Mark Woolwine.

“Since we built the One Nashville Place office building, we have always known that Colliers International would be the best team to take One Nashville Place to the next level,” Nate Greene, managing partner at Colliers International’s Nashville office, said.

The 390,365-square-foot building is currently 91 percent occupied, with U.S. Bank and Miller & Martin among the largest tenants — as well as CBRE.

Barry's Bootcamp headed for Velocity

Celebrity exercise favorite Barry's Bootcamp will bring its lauded workout programs to The Gulch.

Signage is up in the windows in Velocity's ground-floor retail space and the company's Website gives a vague "2012" opening date.

Since the building's new owners converted what had been a condominium project to rental units, retail business at Velocity has taken off. Work recently began on Bar Louie and furniture purveyors E.T. Burk have recently taken over the condos' former leasing office.
