Pinnacle Financial Partners has lured a veteran SunTrust Bank executive to focus on marketing to law firms and attorneys.
Cindy Oliva has joined Pinnacle as senior vice president and financial advisor at its main office in the Pinnacle at Symphony Place. She has 25 years of experience and spent the last 10 years at SunTrust, most recently as first vice president of private wealth management and client advisor for its legal specialty group. Her departure from that group comes two years after fellow first VP Bill Farris hopped over to Nashville Bank & Trust.
“Cindy has a successful track record of managing a portfolio of law firms, small businesses, individual attorneys and executives,” said Larry Whisenant, manager of Pinnacle’s Nashville client services group. “Her experience meeting the financial needs of Middle Tennessee’s law firms and lawyers will benefit Pinnacle and our clients.”
Before her time at SunTrust, Oliva worked at the former AmSouth and First American National Bank. Her hiring is the latest in a series of wins for Pinnacle from a variety of national and regional lenders, which is helping goose loan growth. On the flip side, the bank did lose mortgage standout Billy Winfree to F&M Bank.
Shares of Pinnacle (Ticker: PNFP) were down about 1 percent to $16.57 in Monday afternoon trading. They've climbed about 23 percent in the past three months.
