Windstream Hosted Solutions, a Little Rock, Ark.-based provider of managed data hosting solutions, today announced plans to lease space from Compass Datacenter’s under-construction facility in Franklin.

Terms of the lease are not being disclosed.

The center, which is scheduled to open in 2013, is being built to handle the increased demand from Windstream’s U.S. customers, company officials said. The facility’s projected number of employees is 50 to 20.

The facility will be 21,000 square feet with 10,000 square feet of raised floor data center space.

Earlier this year, Dallas-based data-center developer Compass announced it had acquired 14.6 acres on Eddy Lane near downtown Franklin — formerly the site of LDM's plastics manufacturing facility — for a campus of its modular data center facilities. Read more here.
