National bagel chain looks to expand in Nashville area

Up to 10 new stores planned in next three years

Bruegger’s Bagels, the fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in New York-style bagels, plans to expand in Nashville with up to 10 new stores by the end of 2015.

Bruegger’s has four locations in Tennessee, all within the Nashville market. The shops are in the Vanderbilt area, Belle Meade and Brentwood, and on White Bridge Road. All four are corporate owned.

The expansion is part of a greater effort that will also include additional stores in Huntsville, Ala., and Tallahassee, Fla. By 2015, the company plans to add nearly 100 franchise and corporate operations nationwide.

“All three of our focus cities have a strong economy, and our corporate locations in these markets have a loyal following,” David Austin, Bruegger’s Bagels president, said in a release. “We are eager to find franchise partners who will take advantage of this great opportunity to advance their own enterprise and continue Bruegger’s Bagels’ positive growth in the region.”
