Physician group Urology Associates has acquired Franklin Urological Associates in a deal that adds three physicians to UA’s roster of 30 docs now occupying 11 offices in the Mid-State area.

“By joining Urology Associates, we will continue to provide outstanding urological care in Williamson County, with expanded access to a network of specialists and treatments for our patients,” Dr. Joel Locke, a Urology Associates’ physician said Tuesday in a statement.

The combination adds two Williamson County offices to the existing nine Urology Associates’ offices, which include a retail facility at 2801 Charlotte Ave opened in May.

In 2011, Urology Associates collaborated with Health Innovation Specialists, a group of eight physician practice groups combining operations to save costs and improve efficiency across the full spectrum of health services.
