A veteran of the South Carolina bar and restaurant scene has set up a local arm of restaurant brokerage firm National Restaurant Properties.

Todd McGlamery relocated to Middle Tennessee about a year ago and also works for credit card processor Nashville Payments. Before moving here, he launched and then sold bars and restaurants in Charleston, Beaufort, Bluffton and Hilton Head Island, S.C.

"While the hospitality industry is struggling in many cities, Nashville's market is thriving," McGlamery said. "The timing for our firm couldn't be better."

McGlamery has set up shop on Powell Place in Maryland Farms. His outpost is the 14th for National Restaurant Properties, which is active from Georgia to Memphis.
