Chamber hires VP of member relations
The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce announced today it has added Fred Slater as vice president of member relations and growth.
Slater will oversee all aspects of membership-driven revenue, as well as engage volunteers to support membership recruitment and manage the further development of the chamber’s area advisory councils. He will also work closely with the chamber’s research team to evaluate projects and programs through feasibility studies, market research and planning.
Most recently and since 2006, Slater served as vice president and client partner with GS&F (formerly known as Gish, Sherwood & Friends). His experience with product development, market research, production and promotions has well positioned him for his role at the chamber, Ralph Schulz, NACC president and CEO, said in a release.
“Fred brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position,” Schulz said. “He will help the Chamber grow its membership base and overall value.”
Slater received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee and his MBA from what was then known as Memphis State University.
