ReviveHealth welcomes CSO

Veteran communications strategist offers varied background

ReviveHealth announced today the addition of Robert Berra as the Nashville-based firm’s first chief strategy officer.

Berra (pictured) brings 25 years of experience in directing and managing marketing communication and business development strategies for health services and health technology companies.

Previously, Berra served as executive vice president at a Boston‐based health care marketing communication firm, leading its health technology and services practice and serving as a member of its executive committee. He also worked as vice president of marketing for Vital Data Technology, a health care technology company.

Prior to his work with Vital Data Technology, Berra served as a founding partner of FischerHealth, which sold in 2004 to Omnicom/Porter Novelli. During his time with VDT, Berra worked with Fortune 500 companies such as Boston Scientific, Elsevier, Ernst & Young, Fuji Medical, McKesson, Medtronic and Toshiba.

In addition to Berra joining the ReviveHealth leadership team, Joanne Thornton has been promoted to chief accounts officer from executive vice president. She will remain based in the company’s Santa Barbara office.

Led by Chief Executive Officer Brandon Edwards, ReviveHealth in 2012 is expected to generate nearly $5 million in fees, with 15 percent of the company’s revenue coming from the health technology sector. In July, the company announced its headquarters relocation from California to SoBro’s Cummins Station (read more here).
