Baker Donelson recruits Wyatt partner

Former corporate/securities co-chair named partner at downtown firm

Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz has brought on board the former co-chair of the corporate and securities practice at regional firm Wyatt Tarrant & Combs.

Allen Roberts, who has joined the downtown office of Baker Donelson as a shareholder, concentrates his practice in general business law, mergers and acquisitions, and private-equity and debt offerings. Roberts had spent more than eight years at Wyatt, which he joined from Sherrard & Roe. He is a 1995 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was the research editor of the Tennessee Law Review.

"Allen is an outstanding corporate and securities lawyer who will add depth to our already strong business practice. He is well known in Nashville for his energy, creativity and legal acumen," said Scott Carey, managing shareholder of Baker Donelson's Nashville office. "Allen fits into our overall strategic plan of growing the Nashville office with entrepreneurial lawyers who are looking to expand the array of legal services that they can offer their clients. We are thrilled that he has joined Baker Donelson.”
