Stites & Harbison adds to member roster
Stites & Harbison has elected four of its attorneys from three different industry groups to membership in its Nashville office.
The four, pictured at left in clockwise order, are:
• Erika Barnes is a member of the firm’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy and Business Litigation Service Groups. She represents creditors and franchisors in bankruptcy cases nationwide. She also handles commercial litigation in state and federal courts.
• Edward Burrell III is a member of the firm’s Business & Corporate Services Group. He has experience with mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, entity formation and governance, private equity transactions, corporate finance, shareholder disputes and commercial contracts. Burrell also acts as outside general counsel advising clients on a variety of legal issues. He joined Stites from Memphis firm Armstrong Allen in 2005.
• Alex Waddey is a member of the firm’s Real Estate & Banking Service and Business & Corporate Services Groups. His practice focuses on commercial lending and real estate transactions. Waddey, who joined the firm in 2001, represents lenders handling commercial financings.
• James Cotey is a member of the firm’s Real Estate & Banking Service Group. Cotey, who joined Stites in the fall of 2003, represents commercial lenders and works in the sales and acquisitions of improved and unimproved real property. He also has experience in medical office building development and leasing.
