Walgreen's CFO named to Acadia board
Acadia Healthcare has increased the size of its board of directors to eight to make room for the CFO of pharmacy giant Walgreen Co.
Wade Miquelon has been elected to the board of Franklin-based Acadia and is expected to serve on its audit committee. Miquelon has been Walgeen's top finance officer since July 2009, having joined the chain from Tyson Foods a year earlier. Before that, he worked at Procter & Gamble in a number of positions.
“Wade Miquelon brings tremendous expertise in a range of disciplines to Acadia, as well as valuable perspectives from his work with both large established companies and young growth companies,” said Joey Jacobs, chairman and CEO of Acadia. “We welcome Wade to the Board, confident of his ability to contribute to the Company’s long-term growth in earnings and shareholder value.”
Shares of Acadia (Ticker: ACHC) have climbed 20 percent since being listed on the Nasdaq last November. The company now has a market value of more than $300 million.
