Health IT consultants add two execs

Oracle, Dell veterans to oversee Central, Western regions

Local health technology advisory firm Vision Consulting has recruited two executives to oversee its growth in the Central and Western parts of the United States.

Cool Springs-based Vision has hired Michael Kirby to be vice president of its Western Division and Mitch Buse to hold the same title for its Central Division. In their new roles, Kirby and Buse will seek out new sales opportunities, oversee Vision's work with clients and help develop the firm's sales and strategic plans.

Kirby has more than 15 years of health care experience in sales, management and information technology consulting. Most recently, he was business consulting director for Dell Services and oversaw that venture's Western region operations. Buse comes to Vision from Oracle, where he was national director of business development for the tech giant's health care division. He and his team helped grow revenue in that group from $9 million in 2006 to nearly $70 million in 2011.

Vision was formed in late 2009 and is led by Tim Unger, who worked in IT at Columbia Healthcare and HCA before launching UCR Solutions, which was later acquired by First Consulting Group. Also on the firm's leadership team is former Nashville Technology Council boss Jeff Costantine.
