Engineering and land planning firm Civil Site Design Group has named Hal Clark its fifth principal.
Clark joined Nashville-based Civil Site in 2010 after holding leadership posts at DesignStudio and LandDesign. The Franklin resident has more than 18 years of experience and is now working on several area projects, including the ONEC1TY urban mixed-use development adjacent to the 28th/31st Avenue Connector project, and business and technology campuses in local suburban counties.
“Hal has made many contributions to the growth of our firm, particularly in the area of urban land planning and design,” said Rob Porter, managing principal of Civil Site.
Clark is treasurer of the board of the Nashville Civic Design Center and a member of the Nashville District Council of the Urban Land Institute, among other industry groups. A 1994 landscape architecture graduate of Mississippi State University, he also earned a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Tennessee in 1997.
In addition to its work on ONEC1TY, Civil Site also has worked of late on the Amazon.com distribution center in Lebanon, the Ryman Lofts apartments and the Trolley Barns office complex at Rolling Mill Hill.
