Brasfield & Gorrie has the $1.3 million contract to lay the foundation for the Omni Hotel across the street from the Music City Center.

New labs at TSU

Southland Constructors will build new lab spaces in the basement of Tennessee State University's Research And Sponsored Programs Building. The project totals $904,000.

Saint Thomas gets new MRI

A second-floor operating room at Saint Thomas Hospital will be converted for use as an MRI facility. Turner Universal has the $1.9 million contract.

Electronic Express adding on

Fred Yazdian Construction will add 6,677 square feet of office space to its Harding Industrial Pike warehouse. The $819,000 project also includes renovations to existing office space.

Do they do the importing and the exporting?

New World Imports, which distributes personal care products, is the latest tenant to expand in MetroCenter. Solomon will build a 19,755-square-foot addition at New World's 160 Athens Way home base. The project comes in at $1.45 million.

Wiseman Ashworth ready to go at NCC

DWC Construction will renovate 10,000 eighth-floor square feet for law firm Wiseman & Ashworth at the Nashville City Center. The rehab costs $245,000.
