Premier Parking signs on with smartphone payment provider
Nashville’s second-largest parking lot manager has inked a deal with a new partner to make parking in Nashville easier, or at least, easier to pay for.
Premier Parking has signed on with Atlanta-based Parkmobile, which allows customers to pay for parking with their cell phone using mobile applications for the iPhone, Android and Blackberry. According to Premier representatives, this is the first system of its kind in the Nashville area. Parkmobile, however, has implemented its service in more than 100 cities worldwide and claims “millions of registered users.”
“With the increasing popularity of smart phone applications, Premier Parking greatly values this partnership with Parkmobile that allows us to offer this convenience,” said Ryan Chapman, president of Premier Parking of Tennessee.
To use the service, customers have to register for free here. Premier boasts some 70 lots around town consisting of more than 15,000 parking spaces. The company was founded in 2001 by developer Tony Giarratana.
