Starbucks in a Metro office, flood-ravaged school adding on, more airport improvements, and more ...

Lighthouse Christian adds again

Lighthouse Christian, the private school ravaged by the May 2010 floods and eventually the subject of an episode of Extreme Home Makeover, is adding on again. Hardaway will build a 4,435-square-foot addition to the existing pre-school. The addition will cost $813,300.

Rental car improvements continue

Morgan Construction has the $642,000 contract to build office space and improve the customer service area for Avis and Budget at Nashville International Airport. The finish-out work covers more than 2,400 square feet.

Another week, another Ensworth project

Brasfield & Gorrie will perform "summer improvement work" at Ensworth School, which will include retaining and site utility work. The project, this time at the school's Highway 100 campus, totals $550,000.

Metro's Starbucks

Whitfield Construction will build a $24,000 Starbucks counter on the second floor of Metro's Genesco facility on Murfreesboro Pike.

New spine treatment comes to White Bridge Road

MUA of Middle Tennessee will build an ambulatory surgery center in the Anderson Building on White Bridge Road. The acronym stands for "Manipulation Under Anesthesia," which is not a reference to a disturbing Seinfeld episode, but instead is a relatively new procedure to treat spinal and joint pain. Harvest has the $191,000 contract.
