Cogent HMG names leadership team
Cogent HMG, the company recently formed through the merger of Brentwood's Cogent Healthcare and Hospitalists Management Group, today announced its lineup of executives and outside directors.
Leading the company's C-suite is CEO Stephen Houff, who was founder and CEO of HMG. Gene Fleming, the former president and CEO of Cogent, is executive chairman of the business.
Ron Greeno, a founder of Cogent, will serve as the company's chief medical officer, drive the consulting business and serve as an adviser to the board. Antoine Agassi, Cogent's former COO, will be president of Cogent HMG and oversee its daily business operations. The former COO of HMG, Linda Ellis, will keep her title with the combined company, directing all regional and site operations.
Rounding out the management team are Rusty Holman, Chief Clinical Officer; Susan Brownie, Chief Financial Officer; Doug Mefford, Chief Legal Officer; Anna-Gene O’Neal, Senior Vice President of Quality; and Cheryl Slack, Senior Vice President of Human Resources.
In addition to Fleming and Houff, Cogent HMG's board team includes Gary Chartrand, Mike Leavitt and Mark Neaman. Chartrand is the executive chairman of Acosta Sales & Marketing, Leavitt is the founder and chairman of Leavitt Partners and Neaman is the president and CEO of NorthShore University HealthSystem.
“We are very privileged to have such an outstanding group of executives to lead our company and distinguished board members to guide us,” Fleming said.
