Valuation firm CBIZ Valuation Group has opened an office in Franklin, led by former FTI Consulting Senior Director Richard Romero.

CBIZ Valuation, a subsidiary of CBIZ Inc. (Ticker: CBZ), provides valuation of tangible assets, contracts, securities, debt instruments, partnership interests and litigation claims.

Romero comes to the company as its director of financial valuation for the Southeast region. His practice focuses on regulatory compliance, valuation and litigation support.

Prior to FTI, Romero spent eight years with accounting firms Crowe Chizek and Crowe Horwath, working in the health care forensic and dispute consulting practices. His 20 years of experience includes work on strategic and operational consulting, bankruptcy and turnaround, valuation, litigation support, expert witness services, compliance and employment related matters. He has experience in the valuation of physicians and practices, hospitals, and other health care entities.

Romero is currently the sole employee at CBIZ’s Franklin office, which is located in Highwoods Properties’ Cool Springs III building at 725 Cool Springs Blvd.
