TNInvestco-backed firm names new CEO

Nutraceutical Discoveries recently relocated to Nashville

TNInvestco-backed Nutraceutical Discoveries has named E. Douglas Grindstaff II as its new chief executive officer.

Nutraceutical Discoveries, which recently relocated to Nashville from Knoxville, is a research operation focused on natural ingredients that improve metabolic health. In the past year the company has received about $800,000 in funding from local TNInvestco funds Tennessee Community Ventures Fund and Limestone Fund, according to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development’s annual report, available here. It also received a grant from the Tennessee Technology Development Corp.

As the company’s new CEO, Grindstaff is charged with leading Nutraceutical Discoveries’ next stage of growth. His previous experience includes serving as vice president of marketing for Radio Systems Holdings, president of Invisible Fence brand and chairman and president of Bioganic Safety Brands. At the latter companyhe oversaw rapid expansion into the retail market.

“We welcome Doug, and are excited by his experience and energy he brings to the company,” said former company president and CEO Curtis Jones, who is exiting the business. “It is great to know that someone of Doug’s capabilities and background will be building the company and maximizing its tremendous potential,” he said.
