Silver Care raises $3 million
Nashville-based Silver Care Solutions has secured a $3 million funding round to fuel its continued growth.
FCA Venture Partners led the investment in Silver Care, which provides incontinence treatment for nursing and assisted living centers. The round included a co-investment from Tennessee Angel Fund, the TNInvestco managed by Nashville Capital Network.
"Silver Care is focused on improving the patient well-being in our partnering centers," said CEO and President Frazer Buntin. "With the growth capital raised in this round, we have the opportunity to improve the health of more patients, add more centers under contract, and build our team of professionals."
Specifically, the money will be used to hire 22 specilized nurse practitioners and 22 clinical assistants and expand the company's market from 23,000 beds to 44,000 by the end of the year. Silver Care, launched in 2008, currently contracts with facilities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Tennessee, Florida and California.
Nashville Capital Network is a previous investor in Silver Care, and its Tennessee Angel Fund has so far made one other investment. FCA Venture Partners is a Clayton Associates Fund.
