emids names two new executives

Industry vets coming from WellPoint, McKesson

Local health care IT services outfit emids has made a pair of executive appointments. Vinod Ethirajan and Lance Stewart have joined the company as vice president of payer services and as senior director of sales, respectively.

Ethirajan most recently worked with WellPoint as its head of care management in Denver. In his new role, he will oversee emids’ solution design and account management efforts.

“Vinod brings a unique combination of health care expertise and deep understanding of the payer space,” said Saurabh Sinha, CEO at emids. “Vinod’s expertise and over 20 years of experience in the field will be beneficial to our current and future customers. With his knowledge and leadership, emids will be able to develop better and more payer-focused solutions.”

Stewart most recently worked as a senior sales executive for McKesson and was responsible for health plans involved with disease management, wellness, triage services and member/provider portal platforms.

“Lance’s domain expertise of both commercial and government health plans makes him an invaluable asset to our company,” said Michael Hollis, emids senior VP of sales. “His expertise in navigating the business of healthcare and growing meaningful relationships will play a key role in our continued expansion of our payer division.”

emids, a member of the Nashville Post inaugural Tech 25, has more than 700 employees and has doubled in size since 2009.
